Turning...

Our summer season is coming to an end, and what a season it’s been. The cold and encroaching evenings have given us chance to reflect on some of our favourite wildlife encounters on our travels so far.

Following Footsteps

Nature writing is one of my all time favourite hobbies, be it reading it or writing it. Although when it comes to reading it, I find some books a lot harder to read than others. This time I faced my literary fears and then followed in the authors footsteps.

Of Seals and Selkies

Even though we spent alot of our time down south by the coast, we never really saw many seals. All that changed the further north we travelled, and along with some impressive seal sightings we’ve learnt alot about them and the struggles they face.

Magical Mull

It hasn’t really happened like that and I’d hit a bit of a photography wall. In order to try and kickstart my camera skills again, I booked myself a photography workshop on the wildlife mecca that is Mull.

The night of the Jellyfish

It’s amazing what the tide leaves behind when it goes out! I don’t think I’ve ever seen as many jellyfish as I have spending a summer here on the west coast of Scotland, which left me with a few questions.
